President’s Welcome

Welcome to the website of the Boston Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Incorporated!

On behalf of the wonderful mothers, families and Associates of the Boston Chapter, it is my honor and privilege to greet you as the 2019 – 2021 Chapter President.  In 1938, the late founder of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., Marion Stubbs Thomas, had the great vision of bringing African American mothers together to pool their ideas, resources and prayers so that collectively they could nurture the next generation of African American leaders.  Programming is the heart of Jack and Jill of America, Inc. Chartered in 1946, the Boston Chapter has proudly dedicated our efforts to exposing children to cultural, civic, social, philanthropic, and financial experiences.  Through excellent programming our chapter mothers:

  • Ensure our children know their culture, their rich history and their legacy of greatness
  • Model generosity and engage our children in community service and philanthropy
  • Make sure our children have strong values, leadership and financial literacy skills
  • Educate our children on emotional and physical health, wellness and balance
  • Teach our children to use their voices and resources to advocate for change

Keeping these goals in mind the Boston Chapter’s theme for 2019-21 will be Preparing Families for a Promising Future.  Boston Chapter mothers are focused not only on raising our own children but also on empowering families within our surrounding communities, especially those with fewer resources to make positive change in their children’s lives.  Through support of our chapter community service efforts, fundraising and support of the Jack and Jill Foundation we aim to have a positive impact on children in the Boston metropolitan area. As our National President, Danielle Brown says:  we have The Power to Make a Difference We Can Do More.

Thank you for your interest in Jack and Jill of America, Inc. and in the Boston Chapter.
Let’s Work, Let’s Play, Let’s Live Together!

Yours in Service for Our Children,

Treniece Lewis Harris

2019-2021 Boston Chapter President
